David Azerad spent more than a decade inside a school system, the last years of it as principal — the person brought in when something had gone wrong. The systems he built then are still in use today.

The work is the same now, carried out for companies rather than schools: looking closely from the outside, finding what the people inside can no longer see, and saying it plainly.
